Breve historia del Instituto de Biotecnología (IBT)

^{El IBT funciona con ese nombre desde de diciembre de 1992. Es una Unidad del Nucleamiento Química de la Facultad de Ingeniería, organizada en base al antiguo Instituto de Bioingeniería (creado en 1973), al que se sumó -en 1989- el personal que desarrollaba tareas en el área Tecnología de Alimentos y Biotecnología del Instituto de Ingeniería Química.}

^{En la actualidad, el IBT cuenta con una planta de 27 investigadores (16 con cargo en el IBT y 11 extendidos transitoriamente a proyectos del IBT)}^{y 3 empleados no docentes para llevar a delante sus actividades y objetivo.}
